Every August in the last eight (8) years, this Foundation has held Annual 4-days Children Summer Holiday Camp where children are taught richly in the fear and knowledge of God through age-appropriate and fun activities. Over Two Hundred (200) children attend annually and the response and impact has been felt.

    Sensitization programs

The Foundation carries out sensitization programs such as HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns, Secondary school campaigns to speak about self-worth, esteem, value, purpose and destiny. Responses to such meetings and feedbacks have been positive and challenging.

    HUMAN TRAFFICKING

a.)It’s the illegal trade of human beings.

b.)It’s the recruitment, control, and use of people for their bodies and for their labor.

Through force, fraud, and coercion, people everywhere are being bought and sold against their will–right now in the 21st century.

But, slavery is more stoppable than ever before. And that’s why we’re here, rallying around the world and doing the work together.

    Medical Care

Survivors frequently suffer from health problems and medical debt. OUR Rescue is dedicated to helping survivors access the medical care they need to heal from commonly diagnosed issues, including malnutrition, dental decay, infection, trauma to internal organs, and sexually transmitted infections.

    Trauma-informed Therapy

To support survivors in their healing journey, we prioritize individualized trauma-informed care through a variety of therapies.

    Education and Job Training

We ensure that survivors of human trafficking have equitable access to the resources and support they need to pursue a formal education so that they can achieve their goals and dreams for the future and reduce vulnerability factors.

    Legal Advocacy

OUR Rescue supports and advocates for survivors as they work through the legal system. This advocacy can take many forms including prosecuting traffickers and abusers, seeking restitution, and navigating other legal issues. Additionally, we help survivors understand how court works and what will be expected so they are aware of the courageous step they are taking when entering legal proceedings.

    OUR STORY

The Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi yesterday upheld the conviction of Felicia Ochiga-Ogbuja for failing to protect Ochanya Ogbanje from being raped by her husband and son.

Ochanya, a 13-year-old schoolgirl, suffered complications from prolonged rape in the hands of Andrew Ogbuja and his fugitive son, Victor, who are both her maternal relations.
